Another wow factor for spectators was the several Quarter-Mile race cars at the expo. Drag racing is part of Motorsport and has been part of German history. Therefore, several drag race cars were part of the 2024 EMS exhibition. Gerd Haberman was among the quarter-mile racers and part of the Ravenol team in Hall 8. Not only was the dragster exhibited, but it was also part of his jet collection and, of course, this year’s trophies.

Of course, EMS is tuning, and tuning is part of the Essen Motor Show (EMS). Hall 5 was all about tuned and styled cars. A couple of the eye-catchers were a 1988 Volkswagen Golf GTI with a fully shaved engine bay and swapped to an R32 VR-6 or a 1954 Chevrolet pickup 3100 with a 376 cubic inch “LS-3” crate engine. And Let’s not forget the 2015 Lamborghini Huracan with a Liberty Walk Silhouette GT body kit.
