GR8 Magazine started in 2000 and has grown to one of Belgium’s most-read car magazines. The magazine focus on tuning & performance. A wide variation of articles on all types of cars and car parts. A magazine for petrolheads of all ages. But, by only reading about a car, you can not hear the sound of an engine or get that polish smell on a custom car. For that exact reason, the GR8 organization held a car show to display Europe’s best in car tuning/styling. In the last eight years, the car show has grown in footprint and the number of visitors. This year it was over 39.000 m2 of pure car heaven.

The exhibition center was divided into six halls. Every hall had a different theme; Tuning, import cars, classic cars, and trucks. One of the new concepts this year is the air-cooled area (organized by the Petrol Brothers car club). Hall number 1 was the place to be for all VW lovers.

For all the truckers out there, hall three was the place to be. Thirty big rigs from the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany were the center of attention. From Peterbilt to DAF & Scania. A remote control track and simulators for the virtual petrol heads added a unique vibe to this hall.

Dreamcar Hall is another new concept added to this year’s edition. Hall six was supercar heaven on earth, with several supercars: Like the Lamborghini performante, the McLaren Senna, and like icing on the cake A Koenigsegg Regera. So far, The Regera is the most unique and special car displayed in the history of the GR8 car show. And that’s not for nothing! Koenigsegg made only eighty of these beauties. This Swedish Hybrid beast has a 5.0 liter twin-turbo V8 engine. Together with the electric motor produces 1500 horsepower. Not a car you will easily spot on the road.

The McLaren Twins family was also present at the GR8 International car show. This family is enjoying their cars. We come across them during several car shows. They brought three of four Mclarens; The 600LT Spider, the 650 LT Spider, and the McLaren Senna.

GR8 international car show had a lot to offer the average petrol head and had something for all tastes. From American muscle to big trucks, old-timers and supercars, and of course Europe’s finest tuning cars.
