With once again only three rounds, the 2024 DMSB (Deutscher Motor Sport Bund) Drag Racing Pokal or Cup (DSMB DRP) kicked off in Clastres Raceway (with the second round also in France), France, and ended in Germany with the Nitrolympx weekend on 25 August 2024 for the categories; Super Pro E.T., Pro ET, Supercomp, Supergas, and E.T. Bike. As usual, the DMV organization ( in collaboration with DMSB) was the main drive behind this championship to record all points from competitors and nominate the winners. Three races, one championship, where anything was possible! The 2024 champions in their categories are Frank Römer (SPET), Gerd Habermann (PET), Gerd Habermann (S.C.), Oscar Scappocin (S.G.), and Marie Madleen Rosen (E.T. Bike).

So, let’s dive into the championship details, starting with the fastest-contesting category: Super Pro E.T.! Defending champion Frank Römer is again crowned Super Pro E.T. (SPET) champion this year with 306 points. Römer qualified fifth and fourth during the first two rounds in Clastres and sixth during the last round at Hockenheim-ring. With a second place during the second round in Clastres, he managed to stay (13 points) ahead of runner-up Lucas Potthoff. Potthoff did well in his first season in Super Pro E.T. He won his first race in this category and ended up second with 293 points. Alain Durr ended up third with 249 points.

Gerd Habermann takes the win in Pro ET. Habermann, runner-up last year, won the first race of the championship (June) and qualified fifth during the second race (July). However, he lost in the first elimination round against Jean-Luc Arnoud. At Hockenheim (August and the last race), Gerd did slightly better by qualifying in fourth place and reaching the semi-finals, where he lost to Karl Geiger. With this achievement, Habermann ended the season with 282 points. Rene Schindler is runner-up with 200 points. Schindler qualified in the 25th, 13th, and 12th positions. His best achievement this season was reaching the semi-final in June, where it could have been a close race. Unfortunately, Schindler left too early and gave the race away. Third place is for Janine Petzold, who closed the season with 168 points. Petzold qualified in the 11th, 22nd, and 28th positions. Her best achievement this season was reaching the finals during the races in July, where she needed to abort the race due to technical issues.

Double win for Gerd Habermann. Gerd prolonged his crown by winning the championship again this year in Supercomp. The king of Supercomp is still undefeated and, like last year, has won every race within this championship with a solid 291 points. Clément Dubois ended up in second place with 156 points. Dubois was the top qualifier during both races at Clastres Raceway, took second place in the final races, and didn’t race at Hockenheim. But his season’ achievement was sufficient to maintain his lead to Clarissa Czekalla, who ended up third with 146 points. Czekalla qualified fifth and third during the first two races and qualified fifth again at Hockenheim. During the first race, Czekalla got eliminated in the first round and reached the quarter-finals in the second and semi-finals in the last race. It is noteworthy that Czekalla is in her second season in supercomp, and the progress is already noticeable. Also, she is one of the photographers covering these events whenever she is not behind the wheel.

Oscar Scappocin takes home the win in Supergas (S.G.) with 154 points. The SuperGas category is experiencing a decline in participation here in Europe. This trend was also evident during the DSMB championship—only two competitors this year: Oscar Scappocin from Italy and Philipp Daud from Germany. Scappocin struggled in the first two races to get his nitrous nova into the 9.90s but still managed to maintain his lead by winning all three events. His best E.T. during this championship was 9.935 at 198 km/hr during the Nitrolympx weekend at Hockenheim-ring, which was good for the second place in the qualification. Philip Daud ended up in second place with 79 points.

Marie Madleen Rosen won the E.T. Bike category with 32 points. The E.T. bike category is the only bike category within the DSMB championship, with only one round and two competitors (Marie Rosen and Brendt Thomer). Hockenheim Ring was the only round for E.T. bikes, as Clastres Raceway is not running any bike categories. Rosen qualified in seventh position with 9.40 seconds at 253 km/hr(Her dail-in was 9.00 seconds). In contrast, Brendt Thomer qualified in eighth position with 10.88 seconds at 234 km/hr (his Dasil-in was 9.70 seconds). Both got eliminated in the first round, but as Rosen qualified better than Thomer, she won the championship by 1 point (Thomer ended the season with 31 points).
It was a short season for the DRP competitors, but still exciting. We from The Chronicles of Boost want to congratulate all “DRP” winners. To the rest of the racers, we want to say: Keep a positive mindset. Every journey is learning, and come back next time stronger to beat the competition!
