DMSB (Deutscher Motor Sport Bund) Drag Racing Pokal or Cup (DSMB DRP) closed the 2025 season at Hockenheim-ring during the Nitrolympx weekend in August. Again this year, the championship kicked off in Clastres Raceway, France, with the first two races, which form part of the French championship, followed by the third and final championship round in Germany. As usual, the DMV organization ( in collaboration with DMSB) was the main drive behind this championship to record all points from competitors and nominate the winners. The 2025 champions in their categories are Lucas Potthoff (SPET), Dirk Sommer (PET), Gerd Habermann (SC), and Marianne Wisotzke (S.G.).

Let us break it down for you, starting with the fastest category in the Championship: Super Pro ET (SPET). Lucas Potthoff is the 2025 Super Pro ET champion with 270 points. Lucas qualified first and won the first event in May. In June, he qualified third but lost the first elimination round. At Hockenheim, he qualified in seventh position. He managed to win one round before getting eliminated in the second elimination round, where he lost to Franz Aschenbrenner, who won that race by a holeshot (0.014 seconds reaction time for Aschenbrenner vs 0.234 for Potthoff). Alain Dürr is the champion runner-up with 267 points. Dürr qualified seventh in May, but lost in the first elimination round already due to a broken gearbox (no show). In June, Dürr qualified in fifth place but performed better in the elimination rounds, winning three rounds before being eliminated. At Hockenheim, Dürr qualified in twelfth place but had the right combination to win the race from Franz Aschenbrenner, who was quicker than his dial-in and gave the race away. Third place is for Franz Aschenbrenner with 181 points.

Dirk Sommer takes the win this year in Pro E.T. (PET). Summer qualified in eleventh place in May, in fourteenth place in June, and in eighth place during the Nitrolympx weekend. His best results during the championship were in June and August, when he advanced to the quarterfinals. In total, Sommer gained 208 points in three rounds to put him on top and take the win. René Siefert ended up as runner-up with 187 points, which is not bad, considering Siefert didn’t participate in May but qualified second in June and won three rounds before losing in the quarterfinal (85 points). In August, during the Nitrolympx weekend, Siefert qualified fifth and won four rounds before losing in the quarterfinal (102 points). Third place went to Dirk Kunold, who finished with 167 points.

Gerd Habermann with another win in SuperComp (SC). The reigning champion is known for being very consistent during elimination and pretty sharp on the tree, and this year was no exception. Gerd won all three races and ended up with a stunning 310 points. Clarissa Czekalla ended up second with 194 points. Czekalla qualified third and won three rounds before losing to Habermann in the finals (76 points). In June, she won 4 rounds before reaching the final race. Unfortunately, during Nitrolympx, she didn’t meet the qualifying bump spot and didn’t advance to the elimination round. Third place is for Sam Weyland, who ended up with 169 points. Sam qualified in fifth position in May and qualified third in June. In May, he won two rounds before being eliminated from the race, while in June, the weekend ended in the first round already. Wayland performed better in August, advancing to the final round, where he was defeated by Ger Haberman by a shot (0.051-second reaction time vs 0.117 seconds for Wayland).

Double win this time for team Habermann, as Marianne Wisotzke won the DMSB Drag Racing Pokal and is the 2025 champion in Supergas (SG) with 144 points. Wisotzke qualified fourth in May and sixth in June, winning one elimination round in each month. She did better at Hockenheim by qualifying second with a 9,925 seconds behind Philip Daud (9,915 seconds). Also, during elimination, she knew how to beat the competition. She met Daud in the final race, where she got defeated by Daud. As Philip Daud won in August at Hockenheim, he is the 2025 champion runner-up with 142 points. Third place is for Oscar Scappocin from Italy, who ended up with 57 points.

It was a short season for the DRP competitors, but still exciting. We would like to extend our congratulations to all “DRP” winners. To the rest of the racers, keep a positive mindset. Every journey is a learning experience, and come back next time stronger to beat the competition!
