Tierp Arena, Sweden 26th August 2017: As the final qualifying rounds continues at Tierp Arena during the Dico international race, the eliminations rounds has started. In the Top Fuel class the last qualification rounds we’re run, but unfortunately most of them struggle to get good traction from the track. The only one who manage to perform a 3 second pass was Liam Jones with a 3.997. but this wasn’t an improvement on yesterday’s time which was a 3.946. So a minor change in the top qualifiers as Jndia Erbacher improved her time to 4.062, took the 3rd place and pushed Mikael to 4th place. Top 3 Qualifier 1st Liam Jones, 2nd Duncan Micallef , 3rd Jndia Erbacher.

Another high light in the Top Fuel class is Miss Maja Udtian from Norway who made her first full Top Fuel pass at the Tierp Arena race track. The nineteen year old Maja already booked a 4 seconds run on her first full pass.

In the Pro stock classes we have a new leader, which is Jimmy Alund who made a stunning pass and improve his time to 6.526, which is a 1/1000 seconds faster than Bengt Ljungdahl. as Ljungdahl couldn’t improve his time today has now been pushed to the 2nd place a 6.526. in 3rd place remain Richard Sundblom in his Chevrolet Cobalt 6.590 who also couldn’t improve his time.
A lot of improvement seen In the Top Methanol class as Timo Habermann improved his time to 5.300. Dennis Habermann improved his time by 0.054 of second to 5.370 seconds. with a 5.424 second run. In 3rd place remain Sandro Bellio, the Belgium driver couldn’t get sufficient traction from the track and couldn’t improve his time.

As the Elimination started we already have seen a final race in the Swedish national Pro Mod champion ship. Race Driver Jimmy Alund in his Chevrolet Business made it to the final together with Åke Perssons and it is Alund who takes the win with 5.84 second pass against 5.945 for Åke. Jimmy Alund Pro Modified SM (Swedish championship) Winner at the Dico Internationals!
The FIA European Pro Mod race are still ongoing with Åke Perssons in 1st place with a 5.882 , Jimmy Alund in 2nd with a 5.898 and Micheal Gullqvist in 3rd place (5.924 sec).
In the Top fuel bike class is Sverre Dahl who takes the lead with a stunning pass of 5.988 second run. Jan Sturla Hegre (6.140 sec) and Thomas Pettersson (6.996 sec) in 2nd and 3rd place.
