Hockenheimring, Germany, 29th-31st August 2025: The 2025 Nitrolympx kicked off on Friday, August 29th, and continued on Saturday, 30th, and ended on August 31st. For all the sportsman categories, four qualification rounds were scheduled before elimination. Still, due to a track cleaning delay, this was reduced to three. The weather gods spared us the heavy rain, and it was perfect race conditions the whole weekend. The 2025 Nitrolympx sportman winners are Paul Dziubek (PC), Alain Dϋrr (SPET), Rilana Dold (PET), Gerd Habermann (SC), Philipp Daud (SG), and Lina Wolf (JrD). Mike Olie (FB), Panos Charchalakis (SCB), and Falk Odenthal (ETB) are the winners in the Sportsman bike categories.

Besides the FIM/FIA, there were numerous thrilling races and exciting runs within the sportsman categories. Let’s break it down for you. Let’s start with Pro Comp (PC). Pro Comp is a new racing class added to Nitrolympx this year, limited to doorslammer cars, and runs from 6 seconds or higher. There is no limitation on engine combination or forced induction system. The best time during qualification will serve as an index; however, it will still be a heads-up race during elimination, where competitors must run as close to their index as possible. Paul Dziubek, Julian Bayer, and Markus Welte were the top qualifiers. Bayer and Welte got eliminated in the first round, while Dziubek continued till the final round. The final race pitted Dziubek against René Ehrismann from Switzerland. Dziubek defeated Ehrismann with a 7.495-second run at 330 km/hrs.

Super Pro E.T. (SPET): Alain Dϋrr is the absolute winner during the 2025 Nitrolympx weekend in Super Pro E.T. After three rounds of qualification, it was Marco Grandini, Steve Marconato, both from Italy, and Alex Halter from Switzerland in the number one, two, and three spots. Grandini and Halter went out in the first elimination round, while Marconato made it all the way to the semifinal, where he met Alan Dϋrr. However, Dϋr was running 0.01 seconds close to his dial-in during the whole ladder and was therefore difficult to beat. Dϋrr won the race against Marconato, crossing the finish line in 8.751 seconds with an 8.74 dial-in (Marconato ran an 8.824 on an 8.76 dial-in). The final race was between Dϋr and Franz Aschenbrenner. Dϋr was sharper on three than Aschenbrenner (0.094 sec vs 0.109 for Aschenbrenner), and as Aschenbrenner broke out, he gave the race away (Dϋrr ran 0.015 seconds from his dial-in).

Pro E.T. (PET): Rilana Dold is the 2025 Nitrolympx champion in Pro E.T. After the third round of qualification, it was Ronnie Mercer from the UK, Rilana Dold, and Harald Geuss who qualified in the number one, two, and three spots. While Mercer was eliminated in the first round, it was Guess and Dold who were the ones to beat on the elimination ladder. Dold was consistently sharp on the tree the whole weekend, but Guess also showed that he can be sharp by reacting in 0.004 seconds on the three in the race against Kurt Geiger in the 1/8 final. Therefore, no surprise that they met each other in the final round. Dold was sharper on three (0.068 seconds for Dold vs 0.735 for Guess) and crossed the finish line in 11.632 seconds with an 11.57-second dial-in to claim the victory. Guess ran a 10.844-second run with a 10.55-second dial-in.

Wayland won the following race against Cheyene Visser, who also broke out, and met Gerd Habermann in the final round.
