Hockenheim-ring Germany 19th August 2017: And the races continues at the Rico Anthes Quartermile track at Hockenheim-ring. The 4rd round of the FIA/FIM European championship is in full motion, the sun is shining, no dark cloud above us, smell of burned rubber and a lot of speed.

Several improvement has been seen today, especially in the FIA Top Fuel dragster class where we have a new leader, Liam Jones jumped from 5th place and position himself in the lead with a 4.040 sec run, with Stig Neergard just behind him with a 4.056. Last year winner and eu champion, Anita Mäkelä couldn’t get enough traction from the track and dropped to the 4th place, will she make a comeback?  Stay tune for the eliminations on day 3.

In the Top methanol class is Timo Habermann of the Habermann teams who position himself into the eliminations and due to a bye run already made it into the ½ finals and will face the winner between Engan Karlsen & J Lagg ¼ final race.  Also Sandro Bellio from Belgium positin himself into the Eliminations and will face Jurgen Nagel. Sandro is well known also for the ones following Drag race in Holland, we have seen Sandro many times at the drachten airstrip. 4Q6A1083

Eliminations for the pro stock classes reaches the ½ finals, B Ljungdahl will face Robin Noren and Stefan Ernryd will face Micheal Malmgren (Friday number 1 qualifier) wich improve his time from 6.794 to 6.690. todays lowest ET goes to B Ljungdahl with a stunning 6.588 pass. Also an interesting class to follow on the final day of Nitrolympx 2017

On the Funny bike we see that K van den Belt has position himself into the ½ finals, van den belt is also a well-known Dutch driver seen many times at the Drachten airstrip.
