Hockenheim-ring Germany 20th August 2017: Its Sunday morning, thus it’s elimination/final races at the Rico Anthes Quartermile track at Hockenheim-ring. As the 4th round of the FIA/FIM championship is reaching its end the races are getting closer and more interesting. In the FIA Top Fuel dragster class it is Duncan Micallef (ET , the driver from Malta who defeated rookie top fuel driver Jndia Erbacher in the final race. This is the 3rd win in a row for Micallef which now have secured his lead in the championship.

In the Top methanol class is Timo Habermann who won with a bye run in the final race as Sandro Bellio encountered mechanical issues with his top methanol funny car after performing his burn-out. This is Timo’s 2nd win in a row and with this win also position himself in the lead in the championship.

Stafan Emryd in his Dodge dart who took the win from Bengt Ljungdahl in the Pro Stock class. Emryd which won his first FIA race since his debut last year finnaly beats Ljungdahl as these two raced each other for the first place since 2nd round of the championship in Sweden. Ljungdahl maintains his lead in the championship.
In the Pro Mod class it is Micheal Gullqvist who took the win in his blue ’68 chevrolet Camaro with a stunning pass of 5.894 sec. With this win he position himself on 1st place in the championship race leaving Jimmy Alund on 2nd and Dutch driver David Vegter in 3rd place. This was definitely a very interesting class to follow during the nitrolympx weekend, especially the neck a neck ¼ final race between Marck Harteveld and Hakkan Persons. Unfortunately Marck redlighted and lost the race from the start, but that didn’t keep him from pushing the pedal to metal and set a personal best of 6.095 .
Another rookie who made a special pass on the Rico Anthes quatermile track is jongster Gerard siersma, this eight year old was a special quest during the 2017 Nitrolpymx and is the jongest driver who ever made pass at Rico Anthes track. Gerards is well known at the Drachten airstrip and we spotted him at nearly every drag event in Netherlands and Germany.
At the end the spectators could enjoy the a race which is always spectacular to see, race between 2 jetcar.
And a drag event won’t be successful if there weren’t next all drivers/car woners, a great public, but also a hard working team behind the screens to give the spectators the time of their life. Here we present you the 2017 NitrOlympX pit crew.
Hereby the table of the 1st and 2nd place of Nitrolympx 2017
