Tierp Arena Raceway, Sweden 7-10 August 2025:The second round of the FIA 2025 championship kicked off on Friday, 8th August, at Tierp Arena, Sweden, with the first qualification rounds during the Summit Racing equipment International weekend. All FIA/FIM competitors got two qualification rounds on Friday, two on Saturday (9th August), before going into the elimination on Sunday (10th August). Unlike the last couple of weeks of rain everywhere in Europe, the weather gods blessed us this weekend with excellent conditions, with some sunshine and cold wind. Several FIA/FIM competitors struggled to get all their power on the track, but the spectators were thrilled by some close, fast races. The 2025 Summer Racing Equipment International winners for the FIA categories are Susanne Callin (TF), Tina Høst Nedregård (TM), Jere Rantaniemi (PM) & Jimmy Ålund (PS). The FIM category winners are Rikard Gustafsson(TFB), Marcus Christiansen (STB), and Alan Morisson Jr. (SSB).

Susanne Callin takes the win home and changes the scores in Top Fuel Dragster! Was a low entry this time at Tierp Arena. With only Callin and Liam Jones as competitors, they both started the event within the winner circle. Liam dominated Friday, when he took the lead with a 3.887-second run at 500 km/hrs (while Callin struggled to get the power on the track). But this all changed once Callin’s team managed to get the proper setup, and she clocked a 3.880 on the quarter mile at 506 km/hrs. For the last race, they both left the tree with similar reaction times (0.1691 seconds for Callin vs 0.1409 seconds for Jones). Both struggled to stay on it, but Suzanne had more luck and crossed the finish line in 5.86 seconds, while Liam aborted the race and rolled down the track. Susanne took over the lead in the championship, winning here at Tierp (132 points for Callin vs 130 for Jones)

Tina Høst Nedregård claimed the victory in Top Methanol at Tierp Arena. Qualification rounds ended with three dragsters in the 5.2 seconds. All three of course in the top three, Tony Bryntesson (Top qualifier with 5.249 sec at 440 km/hrs), Jonny Lagg (in the number two spot with 5.275 seconds), and Tina Høst Nedregård with a 5.294 second run at 443 km/hrs. In the end, it was veteran Tony Bryntesson vs the rookie Tina Høst Nedregård who met in the final round. Better reaction time for Tina (0.106 seconds for Tina vs 0.135 seconds for Tony), and they went down side by side. Tina won the race with 5.370 seconds at 445 km/hrs against a 5.475 seconds at 431 km/hrs for Bryntesson. Remarkable was Tony’s reaction time of 0.093 against Sandro Bellio in the quarter-finals, where he won with a 5.302 seconds at 439 km/hrs. With this win, Tina climbed the ladder and is now leading Top Methanol with 198 points.

With 22 entries and five cars in the 5.8-second zone, it was heats on for Pro Modified competitors. In the end, there can only be one winner, and this time it was Jere Rantaniemi! The reigning champ demonstrated that he is serious about defending his title by qualifying in the number one spot with a 5.848 at 404 km/hrs on Friday and backed this up with 5.824 seconds at 407 km/hrs on Saturday. Mats Eriksson qualified second with a 5.860-second run at 395 km/hrs, while Andreas Arthursson’s 5.871-second run was good for the number three spot. But on the Sunday ladder, it was Rantaniemi and Mark Harteveld (who came to Tierp as the leader in the class), the last man standing, and they met each other in the final round. Razor sharp start for Rantaniemi (0.089 second reaction time for Jere vs 0.1589 seconds for Harteveld) and they went down side by side, but Harteveld came too short. Jere Rantaniemi won the race with a 5.852 seconds at 405 km/hrs vs a 5.916 seconds at 390 km/hrs for Harteveld. Jere took over the number one spot in the championship with only one point above Harteveld (201 for Jere vs 200 points for Harteveld).

The high number of entries for Pro stock, with ten competitors in the field and six cars in the 6.6-second zone, made it an interesting category to follow. But the fastest one is victorious, and this time it was Pro Stock veteran Jimmy Ålund! Jimmy was the only one who managed to qualify 6.56s at 340 km/hrs and, of course, had a good chance to win. One remarkable thing was that Ålund was so consistent as a bracket car with a 6.5 each run. The final race went between Jimmy Ålund and Robin Norén, who qualified in the number two spot with a 6.603 seconds at 337 km/hrs. Both left the three nearly at the same time (0.024 seconds reaction time for Norén vs 0.028 for Ålund), but Norén went down faster down the track to seal the deal (6.619 seconds for Norén vs 6.867 for Ålund).

Also, for the FIM competitors, it was interesting and exciting. We monitor two of them, Top Fuel Bike and Super Street Bike. Let us break it down for you.

In Top Fuel Bike, it was Rikard Gustafsson (5.758 sec at 406 km/hrs), Sverre Dahl (5.957 sec at 371 km/hrs), and René Van Den Berg (6.132 sec at 349 km/hrs) in the number one, two, and three positions after four rounds of qualification. All competitors gave everything they had, but in the end, Gustafsson was still standing together with Eric Richard. Gustafsson left the tree slightly quicker than Richard, and his 5.861-second run at 392 was no match for Richard’s 6.049-second run at 368 km/hrs. With this win, the reigning champ, Rikard Gustafsson, showed all competitors that it will take a lot to take that throne from him!

Alan Morrisson Jr takes the win in Super Street Bike. The reigning champion qualified in the second position after two days of qualification with a 6.733 at 358 km/hrs behind Luke Farrugia (6.696 seconds at 357 km/hrs). Jake Mechaell claimed third place with a 6.747-second run at 352 km/hrs—the final race went between Morrisson and Kostas Giannopoulos. Both struggled down the line, but Morrisson crossed the line first and took the win.

The 2025 Summit Racing Equipment International is a fact!  We from The Chronicles of Boost want to congratulate all winners. To the rest of the racers, we want to say: Keep a positive mindset.
