From that moment on\u00a0you know that the car world as we once knew it is changing. And it\u2019s changing fast! EV Experience is the\u00a0first car event to provide that electric change. Feel the power, hear the silence is the motto!<\/p>\n

EV Experience, an event for<\/span><\/span>\u00a0the<\/span><\/span>\u00a0business<\/span><\/span>\u00a0sector<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>as for the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>normal consumer, where the focus is on\u00a0<\/span><\/span>e<\/span><\/span>lectric car<\/span><\/span>s<\/span><\/span>, motorcycles, bicycle, scooter and steps. The Man behind EV Experience is Maarten\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Pompen<\/span><\/span>. Maarten has worked many years organizing car events, working for Amsterdam RAI, he was one of drive<\/span><\/span>n forces<\/span><\/span>\u00a0behind the famous\u00a0<\/span><\/span>AutoRAI<\/span><\/span>. We<\/span><\/span>\u2019ve<\/span><\/span>\u00a0ask<\/span><\/span>ed<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Maarten on his ideas behind EV\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Expierence<\/span><\/span>,<\/span><\/span>\u00a0on wh<\/span><\/span>ich he replied;\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u2018There was a huge gap in the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Dutch<\/span><\/span>\u00a0car world when\u00a0<\/span><\/span>AutoRAI<\/span><\/span>\u00a0stopped. Currently there is huge mindset change around electric vehicles and I wanted\u00a0<\/span><\/span>was\u00a0<\/span><\/span>to inform<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>and inspire people on what<\/span><\/span>\u00a0is<\/span><\/span>\u00a0out there. The pits of Circuit\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Zandvoort<\/span><\/span>\u00a0were transformed into pop up stores from several car brands and the track itself transformed into an electric test paradise. Around two thousand spectators (under restricted\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Covid<\/span><\/span>\u00a0regulations) had the opportunity to not only test drive several models but also get more information and guidance on the several types of electric vehicles available on the Dutch market, like; BEV, PHEV, FCEV! Say what? Let us break it down for you in simple terms.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After been dominating the innovative market for decades, the conventional Hybrid\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Electric<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Vehicles (HEV), opened the door for Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV).\u00a0<\/span><\/span>The d<\/span><\/span>ifference is as the name suggest<\/span><\/span>s<\/span><\/span>, a PHEV car will need to be plug<\/span><\/span>ged<\/span><\/span>\u00a0on the net to recharge the onboard battery pack<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>W<\/span><\/span>here on HEV, the battery pack is being charged by either the combustion engine or regenerator in the brake system. Nowadays we speak about Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), which has no combustion engine and are fully run on the onboard battery pack. The Latest trend in alternative energy is the Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV) which are the Hydrogen types like\u00a0<\/span><\/span>the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Toyota\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Mirai<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

EV experience not only had the first gen Toyota\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Mirai<\/span><\/span>\u00a0available but were host to the second generation as well. Beside Toyota, spectator had the opportunity to test drive the Lexus\u00a0<\/span><\/span>UXe<\/span><\/span>, Audi\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Etron<\/span><\/span>, Tesla model 3, BMW i3, Mini Cooper E, Renault Zoe, Opel\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Corsa<\/span><\/span>\u00a0E,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Polestar<\/span><\/span>\u00a02, MG\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Zs<\/span><\/span>\u00a0EV, Nissan Leaf and a variety of motorcycles.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Besides new car<\/span><\/span>s,<\/span><\/span>\u00a0reconvert<\/span><\/span>ing\u00a0<\/span><\/span>old timers were also part of the EV Deal. Like the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Quintessenza<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Voitures<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Extravert, which is a recreation of the Iconic Porsche model. Completely electric with a 400 km\u00a0<\/span><\/span>radius<\/span><\/span>. Cool thing about this is all the digital gauges has that analog look.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So EV\u00a0<\/span><\/span>experience<\/span><\/span>\u00a0is a brand new concept with a lot to offer, from converted old timers, tips and tricks to the brand new model from all major brands.
