Mechanicsville, Maryland, USA,\u00a0 3rd November 2023: Qualifications continue on the second day here at Mechanicsville, Maryland. The weather was cold (40 degrees F) but dry, with shining sun. Six out of twelve made it through the third qualification rounds. The other categories only did one qualification round. The track\/weather conditions resulted in several improvements in elapsed time and speed. Soon, several competitors reset the clock at Mechanicsville, Maryland. The top Qualifiers after day two are Rafael Famania-Natty (OVE), Carl Brunet (RVM), Larry Ramnath (XVH), Keith Rhea (WVT), Nick Cole-mann (STK), Adam Arndt (SF), Shwan Finn (WS), Darren Barone (SS), Steven Zsigray (MS), Teddy Weaver (AM) & Mark Rendelukr in Pro street bike (PSB).<\/p>\n

New Leader in Outlaw vs Extreme (OVE)! Rafael Famania – La Natty reset the clock and took the provisional number one spot with a 5.671-second run at 235mph (during Q2) and improved this even more with 0.071 seconds in the third round (Famania clocked a 6.600 seconds on the scoreboard). Huge improvement for John Odom – CEO, who didn’t make the bump spot yesterday, drove his 2019 Nissan GTR in 5.776 seconds at 237 mph. Odom is now second, with just 0.1 second behind Famania. The third place is for Jorge Juarbe. Juarbe (yesterday’s leader) improved his time to 5.779 seconds at 247 mph, but this was not fast enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

Carl Brunet reset the clock and took the number one spot in Renegade vs. Modified (RVM). Brunet stormed into a stunning 5.828 seconds at 242 mph and not only is now the provisional leader but also reset the clock in this Category. He is now the world’s fastest four-cylinder door slammer. Randy Lambert improved yesterday’s time (6.929 seconds) to 6.017 seconds at 224 mph and climbed the ladder from fifth place to the number two spot. Ty Kasper is in third. Yesterday’s leader, Carlos Olivo, didn’t improve his time and is now fourth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

Keith Rhea Warriors takes the number one spot in Warrior vs. Tres Cuarto (WVT). Rhea drove his 2004 Ford Mustang in 6.198 seconds at 225 mph over the finish line and bumped Ralph Hardesty in the second position. Hardesty improved his time by 0.044 to 6.407 seconds at 211 mph. Victor Floris is now third with a 6.478-second run at 210 mph. The kid from Aruba, Victor Werleman, did improve his time to 6.783 seconds but wasn’t fast enough to maintain his number 5 spot. Werleman is now sixth.<\/p>\n

Shawn Finn maintains his provisional lead in Wild Street after two qualification rounds. No improvement for Finn, but still fast enough to stay in the lead. Ronny Rhodes is now in second position with a 7.390-second run at 158 mph. Frank Provenza was bumped from the second position and is now third with a 7.416-second at 171 mph.<\/p>\n

Nick Cole-man maintains his provisional lead in Shift Stick after two qualification rounds. Also, no improvement for Cole-mann, but yesterday’s run was still fast enough to stay in the lead. Jon Rogers is now second with a 7.089-second in 195 mph. Third place is for Chris Moore.<\/p>\n

New Leader in Super Street as Darren Barone clocks a 7.807-second run at 180 mph in his 1980 Ford Mustang. Chris Dutkewycz is now second, and Justin Reggio is third. Mike Jrineant (Yesterday’s Leader) is now bumped, into the fourth position.<\/p>\n

Teddy Weaver (Reigning champion) is still the leader in All Motor, with his 9.223 seconds at 146 mph. The second place is for Shane Stymiest. Stymiest improved yesterday’s time to a 9.237-second run at 144 mph. Ronnie Hackerlton is now third with a 9.273-second run at 144 mph.<\/p>\n

New Leader in Pro Street Bike! Justin Shakir is pushed to the second position by Mark Rendeluk. Rendeluk drove his 2022 Suzuki Hayabusa in 6.367 seconds at 233 mph and took the lead. Justin Improved his time by 0.173 seconds but was not fast enough. Rodney Williford is now third. Jayson Geerman (from Aruba) also improved his time to a 6.810-second run at 222 mph but is still not fast enough to make the bump spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
