Virginia Motorsports Park is the location of the last PDRA event happening this year.
\nLizzy, Pat and the rest of the King Kong 5 crew were joined by Mr Brandao for this event.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival they had to check everything on the car.
\nBelow you can admire the 904 PAT MUSI engine of King Kong 5<\/p>\n

On its 2nd<\/sup> test of the day, Lizzy ran a 3.77 @ 199 MPH in the 1\/8 mile. The crew was happy with how the car was performing. After a few runs the team did a check up and some maintenance on the car.<\/p>\n

At the end of qualifying they serviced the engine and made it race ready to go again.<\/p>\n

The previous PDRA race was rained out and they were going to finish it in this race. So you had 2 events going on at the \u201csame time\u201d. The weather does not look good also this weekend, but every racer knows to be ready for GO TIME.<\/p>\n

The next morning, standing in the staging lane, ready to go\u2026it started to rain.
\n\"16\"<\/p>\n

After the rain delay, the track was cleaned up and racing could go ON !
\nLizzy was red hot and King Kong 5 did not disappoint. She qualified 1st<\/sup> running 3.76 seconds and trapping \u00a0200 MPH in the 1\/8 mile. We want you to realize, that this ride is now the fastest Nitrous car around these areas and also a new record. The crew was really excited with this milestone, especially Mr Brandao.<\/p>\n

Not long after a rain delay became rain delays and everything was thrown out of balance.
\nThe track officials did their best and eventually everything was dry again, and we could continue with the races.<\/p>\n

If you think that driving a pro stock is a walk in the park, take a look at the inside of King Kong 5.<\/p>\n

Lizzy went on to win the 1st<\/sup> elimination, but lost in the 2nd<\/sup> round when she ran faster than her opponent, but her opponent had the holeshot ( quicker reaction time ) on Lizzy.<\/p>\n

She still manages to finish 2nd<\/sup> in points being a rookie, for this year\u2019s PDRA Pro Nitrous championship.<\/p>\n

Mr Brandao tells us that they have big plans for next year and hopes to release them next year at the PRI show.
