A new race car, a new team name (they kept the gremlin legacy alive by retaining the name and livery), and new challenges were all part of the experience. And with this whole new package, they&#8217;ve also recently added a new member to their sponsors club. We took a moment to have a small chat with the Visser family and reflect on the last two seasons to relive their adventures, understand their challenges, and get a glimpse of their plan for their third season in Super Comp. We were experienced and within our comfort zone with Jr. Dragster, but soon realized that Super Comp was a whole different level. But it was still a positive transition that brought us closer as a team. In Juniors, qualification is based on reaction time; in Super Comp, it&#8217;s a fixed dial-in of 8.90 seconds. Where Juniors will finish at 1\/8-mile; supercomp is just half the track. And this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the differences that make Super Comp unique. Also, the shutoff area was longer, so I needed to get comfortable with the exit and the return road. A feature that I needed to get used to is that I can now reverse the car myself. Which she replied, <span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em>Pursuing that perfect reaction time, that perfect run, where all pieces fall together without going under that 8.90 index!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>When you set the step to Supercomp, the ultimate goal was to continue climbing the ladder. Any change? <span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em>No changes in my ultimate goal! But our focus is currently not on climbing the ladder but on gaining more experience. We are aiming for the French and German Championships (DMV, HARA, Hessen, ULM, BMC) and the DRU Challenge, for a total of 6.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em>To achieve all this, we are thankful to our partners, some of whom have been with us from the very first moment, such as Ufkes Greentec, WIS Industri\u00eble Spuiterij, and Wierda Bedrijfswagens Drachten. And for the vintages out there, yes, the same Bartek who was working on engines for retired Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher. Bartek, a car enthusiast himself, developed a passion for cars at a very young age, which led him to train as a car mechanic specializing in engines and gearboxes. Team Gremlin is currently third on the French championship and is ready for their second race in a few weeks\u2019 time at Clastres Raceway for the second round of the French Championship, which includes the DRU challenge and DMV championship.
