Zandvoort Circuit, The Netherlands – 10th March 2018: Once again it was the time of the year to visit the lovely “formal” Formule 1 Circuit of Zandvoort for one great car event; Automaxx Streetpower organised by 402 Automotive. This event is lately turning into a traditional season opening car show and 2nd event of the year for 402 Automotive. This is definitely a reason to be on the track.

Automaxx street power was organized for the first time back in 2002. This event was named after the Magazine ‘Automaxx’ which unfortunately no longer exists. Nevertheless the name remained the same to keep the memory alive.
The ‘Rocket Bunny’ Nissan 180sx build by SW-performance was centre of attention this year as the car carries the tributes to Theresa Hagge a.k.a T-Race, a well-known car vlogger who passed away November last year.

Besides the beautiful Nissan 180sx, the whole paddock was fulfilled with tuned and styled cars, from some old-timers to the newest models.

For the ones who wanted a little more excitement, Drag race organiser ‘Quartermile’ was there to offer, all who were up for the challenge, the opportunity to line-up at the staging lane and see how well they could perform on the ¼ mile track.

Other sections gaining more attention during this event are the so called Limbo, burnout madness and REV battle contests where participants compete against each other for the title as crown king of burnout, the King of REV and winner as participant with the lowest car.

Automaxx street power also hosted the 1st round of the Dutch time attack race. Time attack is an championship where a driver is competing against the clock to set the best time lap on the track. The three categories held were Club, Pro and super Pro.

Hopefully you didn’t miss it, but if so you can make your reservations for the 18th edition of Automaxx street power which will take place every weekend in March 2019. 402 Automotive will reveal the exact dates later this year.
