Drachten airfield The Netherlands 14th May 2017: The weather on the 3rd day was at its best and the races start on time with no delay. A lot a competitors took the opportunity the set their best records and position themselves into the elimination rounds.

Smokey burn-outs and super launches would be the best way to describe the Sunday morning. Check out this start from Back 8 racing team’s Plymouth Cuda
or this burn out from Gerald Williams on his Suzuki GSX

Unfortunately not all elimination races could been run due to a lot of oil downs. The Quartermile/DHRA crew worked hard to clean and dry the track as soon as possible but after all that afford, Dutch weather took over in the afternoon.

Sunday was dedicated to all American cars and as the track was being dried and cleaned the crowd could admire multiple American beauties parked, like this beautiful C6 corvette.

Among the muscle cars we also spotted an 1980 Zimmer Golden spirit, which is very rare to see. These cars looks older than they are, but have most of the time really big engines in them. The Zimmer Golden Spirit was built by Zimmer Motorcars Corporation and has produced over 1500 from 1978 to 1988.
