TT Circuit Assen, The Netherlands, 11th October 2026: After a successful Supercar edition at the start of the year, it was time for the second edition, this time at the Cathedral of Speed: the TT Circuit in Assen. Around 300+ super/hypercar owners exhibited their vehicles in front of several thousand visitors who didn’t mind the rainy Sunday and traveled up north in the Netherlands for a thrilling day of speed during the Supercar Madness and Viva Italia. The TT circuit once again transformed into a car paradise, featuring not only supercars but also the best of the best from Italy and the performance car scene. 1/8 mile sprints, best of show, the display moment, and hot laps formed part of the 2026 Supercar Madness/Viva Italia Assen.

The track paddock was transformed into three Wahlhalla themes for petrolheads: the performance area, the supercar area, and the Viva Italia area. The performance area had the most variety of cars; as the name already gave it away, it was all about performance, not brand or origin. Therefore, there was something for every taste, from highly tuned Volkswagen Golfs to your traditional M series or Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG, to muscle cars like the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Corvette.

The supercar area sat just in front of the pit boxes, with several icons of the modern era of automobiles. As the cherry on the icing, the Koenigsegg Jesko Attack, with chassis number 7378 in Tang Orange. No matter how many times you have seen these cars, they’ll still catch your attention and make you pause to admire them, and it’s truly unique to see this car on a track going really fast in front of the grandstand.

Another breathtaking piece of craftsmanship and passion was the Mercedes AMG one. A hypercar capable of delivering around 1,000 horsepower, using a 1.6-liter V6 turbo engine from Formula 1 combined with 4 electromotors. Only 275 units were ever made, and one interesting feature is that the engine requires a full factory rebuild every 50,000 km and has a fixed seat (steering and pedal positions can be adjusted to fit different drivers).

In the Viva Italia section, the Lamborghini Club Nederlands brought several masterpieces of the Italian brand. Not only did the high-end Italian horses catch visitors’ attention, but so did day-to-day models like the Alfa Romeo Giulietta and Giulia, as well as the Fiats.

And for the thrill seeker among the spectators, the grandstand was the place to be for some good old-fashioned sprint races. This time, only 30 minutes were reserved for some drag races, so no timing, just a hand signal. Several car owners signed up for a chance to show the spectators what they’ve got.

No hypercars were at the starting line this time; however, quarter-mile race car “Goldy,” with Maruli van Haastert behind the wheel, appeared and gave several other competitors a hard time. Maruli struggled to get the car where he wanted it, but finally clocked an 8.72 seconds on a quarter mile in Germany last month. Knowing Maruli, he is not ready yet, and there is more to come, so stay tuned!

And of course, the car display couldn’t be excluded. Several high-end cars will be exhibited in front of the grandstand for the public to see. The 402 host will share a few details about each car and briefly speak with the owner/driver, followed by a photo moment.

Supercar Madness/Viva Italia also gave car owners the chance to get some laps on the track. And it wasn’t just the high-end performance cars that took this opportunity, but also day-to-day cars like the Alfas and BMWs. Probably one of the best ways to enjoy your car and your Sunday.

Another successful edition of Supercar Madness, with some rain, but a lot to see and experience. The next edition of Supercar Madness is already scheduled, so make sure you’re at Circuit Zolder, Belgium, on 25th April 2027!
