DRACHTEN AIRSTRIP, THE NETHERLANDS – 29th September 2017: The first qualifying runs started during ‘The Weekend of Champion’ organized by Quartermile. This is also the last national race at the Drachten Airstrip for 2017. As we heading towards the autumn the ‘Dutch’ weather becomes more tricky and unfortunately this was the case today as well. Fog and low temperature brought a lot of humidity making it difficult for the Quartermile track crew to prep and keep the track dry. With hard work and some sunshine and it was ‘race time’. Cheyenne Visser, the youngest female driver in the Jr. Dragster class who made the first pass at Drachten racestrip.

David Celestin from Brothers racing which takes the lead in the Jr dragster class with a 9.042 sec pass.
In Pro E.T is Ed breedveld who takes the lead during the qualifying runs with a stunning ‘wheel stand’ and a 9.793 sec pass, followed by Gerjan Wolbers (10.015 sec) which ran closer to his dial in than C van de Mosselaar (9.947 sec) which takes 3rd place.

But another one steeling the show was Mike Hollaar. Mike is well know for his wheel stands at the start but today it was like the wheel stand was the target more than the time at the finish line.

Jen Konnecke takes the lead in the Super Pro E.T with a 8.261 sec pass, leaving Maurice van der Laan on the 2nd place with a 8.758 sec pass. Kenneth Celestin take the 3rd place with a 9.769 sec.
