Rico Anthes Quartermile, Hockenheimring, Germany, 22nd August 2026: Qualifications also continued for the sportsman categories here at the Rico Anthes Quartermile. As in the FIA and FIM categories, the qualification rounds for the sportsman categories were also affected by weather. Some rounds have been canceled. The top qualifiers in the sportsman categories after the final day of qualifications are Julian Bayer (Pro Comp), Micke Bruckmüller (SPET), Rilana Dold (PET), Ronnie Mercer (SC), Manfred Gräβer (SG) & Amelia Innes (JrD). The top sportsman bike qualifiers are Stefan Hagenstein (FB), Kimmo Rantala (SCB), and Thomas Troupkos (ET Bike).

After two rounds of qualification, it was still Julian Bayer in the number one spot in Pro Comp (PC). However, Bayer did improve yesterday’s 6.835 to a 6.755 at 325 km/hr to maintain his number one spot. Bayer will meet Christian Zulauf in the first elimination round on Sunday. Thomas Raft finished second after significantly improving to 6.979 at 292 km/h. Raft will meet Manuel Kreiter in the E1. Renè Ehrismann, unfortunately with no improvement today, was pushed into third position with his 7.073, set yesterday in Q1.

After two sessions of qualification, Micke Bruckmüller claimed the number one spot in Super Pro E.T. (SPET). Bruckmüller ran an 8.136-second run at 262 km/hr on an 8.13 dial-in. Unfortunately, Lucas Potthoff couldn’t improve on yesterday’s time and ended up second. Third place was claimed by Robert Gasnner, who ran an 8.480-second at 258 km/hr on an 8.47 dial-in. Sunday is race day, and Bruckmüller will meet Joachim Schumacher, while Potthoff will meet Christopher Todd. Gasnner will need to defeat Matteo Bailo if he wants to advance to the next round.

In Pro E.T. (PET), Rilana Dold was still the top qualifier after two sessions of qualification. Dold improved on yesterday’s time, now running 0.001 from her 11.63 dial-in (she ran a 11.631 at 187 km/hr). Rene Schindler also improved on yesterday’s time and ended up in second place, while Björn Szczendzina ended up in third place with a 9.527-second run at 233 km/hr (0.027 from his dial-in). Dold will meet Michael Glanzmann in E1 on Sunday, while Schindler will meet Tim Bechtold. Szczendzina will need to defeat Christian Piffaretti in E1 to advance to the next round.

In Super Comp (SC 8.90 index), there were no changes or improvements in the top two, with Ronnie Mercer as top qualifier and Janine Petzold in second. However, Oliver Krautberger managed to improve yesterday’s time to an 8.923 at 252 km/hr to claim the number three spot and pushed Kenneth Celest in fourth. Mercer will meet supercomp veteran Gerd Habermann in the first elimination round, while Petzold will meet Til Schoeninger. Krautberger will meet Clarissa Czekalla in E1.

After three sessions of qualification, it was Manfred Gräβer who took the lead in SuperGas (SG). Grässer managed to run a 9.913 (0.013 seconds from class index) at 207 km/hr to take the number one spot. Yesterday’s leader, Daniel Vetterl, managed to improve to a 9.916 at 215 km/hr, which was good for second place. Oscar Scappocin from Italy ended up in third place with a 9.951 at 202 km/hr. Gräβer will meet Rold Schellhorn in E1, while Vetterl will meet Marianne Wisotzke. Scappocin will meet Maximilian Scharnagl.

In Junior Dragster, it was Amelia Innes, Lenny Fässler and Johannes Rapp in the number one, two and three positions after two qualifying sessions. Remarkably, Amelia qualified with a reaction time of 0.000 seconds while running a 9.344 at 110 km/hr! Innes will meet Rosalie Habermann in the first elimination round on Sunday, while Fässler will meet Marie Cheyenne Camilleri in E1. Johannes Rapp will meet Yannis Weyland.

In Funny Bike, Stefan Hagenstein is the new top qualifier after two qualifying sessions. A lot of improvement was seen today in Funny Bike, and for Hagenstein it was no different, moving up to the number one spot with a 7.115 at 306 km/hr. Petr Ceska ended up in second place, while Markus Leur, who also improved significantly from yesterday, is now third with a 7.303 (seconds) at 313 km/hr. Hagenstein will meet Cord Albers in the first elimination round on Sunday. Ceska and Leur will meet Leon David Weikum and Thomas Joswig (who finished fourth).

The new leader in Super Comp Bike (Index 8.50) is Kimmo Rantala. Rantala ran a stunning 8.504-second run (0.004 seconds from class index) at 247 km/hr to take the number one spot. Yesterday’s leader, Panos Charchalakis, ended up second, with no improvement on his 8.512 from Friday. Torben Frahm, also with no improvement from Friday’s time (8.613 seconds), ended up in third place. While Rantala will face Thom Waterschoot in the first round of elimination, Charchalakis will need to defeat Hugo Leistner to proceed to the next round. Torben Frahm will meet Sven Spanowski in E1.
