Clastres Raceway, France, 26th July 2026: With the 31st European Dragster weekend in the rearview mirror, the Association Trophee Dragster (ATD), competitors, and race fans close the 2026 French season (first round in May, second round in June, and 3rd round in July). The weather gods were not on our side this season, as all three races were affected by weather conditions. With rain, a heat wave, and more rain. All three races were decided by points earned over the weekend rather than by a full elimination ladder. But the Race family still showed their respect and appreciation for the organization and were ready to put on a good show. The absolute winners of the 2026 championship are Lucas Potthoff (SPET), Bruno Chamagne (PET), Janine Petzold (SC), Eric Haccoun (SG), Maxime Chevaillaud (SR), and Eleanor Petzold (Jr.D).

So, what happened and how did it happen? Let us break it down for you, starting with the fastest category in the French championship: Super Pro E.T., where the German rider Lucas Potthoff retained his title. Potthoff claimed the number one spot in the first round in May and won that championship round by points as the races were rained out. In June, he qualified 6th (2nd round), but managed to claim the number one spot in July and was still in the race when the races were unfortunately canceled. With this achievement, Potthof earned 234 points to win the championship. The championship runner-up went to Stefan Eisenhauer with 215 points—Eisenhauer, who just made a comeback this year after some years of absence, qualified in fourth position in July with an 8.308-second run on an 8.30 dial-in. Third place went to Spanish driver Angel Romero from Centauro Racing Team. Angel qualified in 6th position in May and claimed the third position in June. During the last race in july he claimed the number one spot and was still in the race when the races got rained out. With this achievement, Romero earned 212 points, which was good for third place.

Bruno Chamagne is the absolute champion in Pro. E.T. with 202 points. Chamagne claimed the number one spot in May, but was defeated in the second elimination round. In June, he qualified in 8th position, qualified 5th in the final round in July, and was still in the race when it got rained out. The championship runner-up was Peter Soursas, who finished just 5 points behind Chamagne (197 points). Peter came into the competition in the second championship round in June, where he claimed the number one spot in qualification by running 0.0005 from his dial-in and a reaction time of 0.020 seconds. Florian Salzmann ended up in third place with 194 points.

Janine Petzold won the 2026 Super Comp (SC) championship with 194 points. Petzold qualified in the top three in all three championship rounds, with a win in May (58 points), a second place in June (110 points), and a third place in July (16). Although she won only one race, it was enough to maintain the lead and win the championship. Clement Dubios ended up as the 2026 championship runner-up with 168 points. Cheyenne Visser ended up in third place, with only 8 points behind Dubois (160 points). Remarkably, the number four, Keneth Celestin (154 points), number five, Didier Billaut (152 points), and number six, Clarissa Czekalla (148 Points) were very close to each other.

Eric Haccoun takes the win home and crowns himself the 2026 champion in SuperGas (SG). Haccoun qualified in sixth position and reached the semi-finals before the races were rained out. In both June and July races, Haccoun took the top qualifier position and won the event in June with a time of 9.904 seconds at 217 km/hr. He also won the event in July, having the most points and winning the championship with 192 points. Philipp Daud ended up as championship runner-up with 167 points, and Marianne Wisotzke ended up third with 154 points.

In Street Run (SR), it is Maxime Chevaillaud who became the 2026 champion. Chevaillaud qualified second in the first round, earned 60 points, qualified first in the second round, and finished second again in the last round of the championship, earning a total of 274 points to win the championship. Francois Peeters ended this year in second position with 175 points. Dimitri van Hoolandt ended up third in the championship with 168 points.

Eleanor Petzold is the new champion in Junior Dragster (JrD). After a slow start, Eleanor managed to claim the number-one spot and win the second round. In the last round, she also qualified first, but unfortunately damaged her engine during elimination. Still, this was enough for 229 points to win the championship. Lenny Fassler ended up champion runner-up with 215 points, and Yannis Weland ended up third in the championship with 213 points.

The 2026 Trophy Dragster championship came to an end. A championship influenced by weather (either too hot or it was raining), with the winner decided by points. The Association Trophy Dragster, together with DRT, the track crew, and all the volunteers (Yellow people), did their absolute best, allowing as many runs as the weather permitted. Now it’s time for a break and to store the tree! 2027 season has been confirmed, so stay tuned for more action next year. We from The Chronicles of Boost want to congratulate all winners!
