Zerbst Airport, Zerbst, Germany, 31st July- 1/2nd August 2026: Races continued at Zerbst Airport with another weekend full of thrilling races. It was time for the quarter-mile Zerbst weekend, hosted by Motorsport club AMC Dessau e.V (DMV). Normally planned in October, but moved this year to the beginning of August. And with three races in a row for the DMSB/D.R.U participants, it took a toll on the participants compared to previous editions. The weekend started on Friday afternoon with the first qualification rounds for the cars and bike categories. The weather gods threw some curveballs with some rain showers over the weekend. But fortunately, the rain showers were limited, allowing all races to continue. Winners of the DSMB 2026 Zerbst Competition are: Mateusz Bankowiak (SPET), Martin Weikum (PET), Kenneth Celestin (SC), Stefan Gebhardt (SG), Emily Schaupp (JDr), Enrico Grundmann (SC11), Thomas Kirste (SC09), Rainer Hescher (ETB), Kenneth Luijbe (SCB), and Mia Hanke (JdB).

Let’s break it down for you. A very low entry this time in Super Pro E.T. (SPET), with only two participants; it was a 1-round elimination ladder. After eight rounds of qualification, it was Pascal Czieschowitz who qualified in the top spot with an 8.348-second run at 267 km/h on a 7.748 dial-in, and Mateusz Bankowiak second with a 7.973-second run at 279 km/hr. During the final race, it was Bankowiak who had a better reaction time (0.291 seconds vs 0.464 seconds for Czieschowitz). But unfortunately, Bankowiak ran faster than his dial-in and handed the race over to Czieschowitz, who ran an 8.494 seconds at 263 km/hr.
Martin Weikum takes the win in Pro E.T (PET). Top qualifiers in Pro E.T were Jan Walter, Carole Weyland, and Rene Schindler. Weikum himself qualified in fourth position after eight qualification rounds with a 10.487-second run at 207 km/h on a 10.45 dial-in (0.028 seconds from his dial-in). Walter defeated Norbert Ritter in the first elimination round, where he left the tree in 0.028 seconds (reaction time) and had a bye run in E2. Walter and third qualifier Rene Schindler met in the semi-finals, but it was Walter who took the win. On the other side of the ladder, Weikum defeated Sven Krone and Carole Weyland. Schindler and Weikum met in the final round. Weikum, with a stunning 0.006 reaction time (vs 0.068 seconds for Schindler), had the winning hand and crossed the finish line in 10.601 seconds at 199 km/hr (vs 11.348 seconds at 187 km/hr for Schindler).

Keneth Celestin takes the win home at Zerbst in SuperComp (SC). Celestin qualified fourth in a five-car field, with a 9.100-second run at 198 km/h, just after Cheyenne Visser (top qualifier, 8.924 seconds), Til Schoeninger (2nd, 8.929 seconds) and Janine Petzold (3rd, 8.947 seconds). Visser had a bye run in the E1 and met Janine Petzold in the semi-finals. Cheyenne was sharper on the tree (0.075 reaction time vs 0.183 for Petzold), but couldn’t push her dragster into the 8.9-ties zone, and it is Petzold who takes the win with an 8.921 at 231 km/h. The final race was supposed to be between Petzold and Celestin, but unfortunately Petzold had some trouble with the car and was forced to withdraw from the race, handing the win over to Celestin.

In SuperGas (SG), Stefan Gebhardt takes the win. After qualifying in second in a four-car field, Gebhardt defeated Jacqueline Putzmann in E1. Both ran faster than the class index, but Gebhardt was closer to 9.90; he took the win. On the other side of the ladder, Maximilian Schamagl defeated Daniel Vetteri in a holeshot win. The final race went between Schamagl and Gebhardt. While Schamagl was sharper on the tree (0.003-second reaction time vs 0.098 for Gebhardt), but came up short to Gebhardt’s 9.909 seconds, which took the win.

Also, Sport Compact 11 (SC11) suffered a reduction in participants, with only two entries; it was a short elimination ladder. Enrico Grundmann battled it out with Dirk Hoppe, where Grundmann had the advantage on the tree and crossed the finish line in 11.856 seconds at 197 km/hrs.
Thomas Kirste took the win in Sport compact 9 (SC9). In a four-car entry, Kirste defeated Ronny Dietz and met Stefanie Kuehne in the final round. Kirste was quicker on the tree (0.506 vs 1.165 for Kuehne) and crossed the finish line in 9.787 seconds at 240 km/hg to claim the win.
Emily Schaupp took the win in Junior dragster (JrD). Schaupp qualified first after eight rounds of qualification and was the one to beat during the weekend. In an eight-car field, Schaupp defeated Linda Rosenowski in E1 and had a bye run in the quarterfinal. On the other side of the ladder, it was Loris Weyland, who defeated Johannes Rapp in E1 and her brother Yannis in the quarterfinal. The final race went between Loris Weyland and Schaupp, where Schaupp was quicker on the tree (0.074 for Schaupp vs 0.148 for Weyland). Schaupp won with an 8.746-second run at 113 km/h. Loris Weyland ended up second, and Yannis Weyland third.

Reiner Hescher took the win in E.T Bike (ETB). After eight rounds of qualification, it was Ramon Moebius, Thomas Troupkos and Stefan Graff in the number one, two and three. While both Graff and Troupkos got defeated in E2, Hescher succeeded in beating the competition. The final race went between Hescher and Ramon Moebius, where Hescher reacted quicker on the tree (0.166 seconds vs 0.331 for Moebius). Moebius took second place, and Nicklas Ludwig third.

SuperComp Bike (SCB) was won by Kenneth Luijbe. In a four-bike entry, Luijbe went into the elimination round as top qualifier, followed by Ray Martisand, Jenny Sell, and Marcel Dahlbeck in fourth. While Luijbe defeated Sell in E1, Martis defeated Dahlbeck. The final race went between Luijbe and Ray Martis, where both had a similar reaction time (0.313 for Luijbe vs 0.365 for Martis), but it was Luijbe who took the win with an 8.830 at 213 km/h.

Also a reduced entry in Junior Drag Bike (JDB), with only two competitors, it was Mia Hanke who took the win home. Hanke battled it out with Isabella Marasciulo. Both had a similar reaction time on the tree (0.299 for Hanke vs 0.257 for Marasciulo), but it was Hanke who took the win with a 10.406 at 109 km/h.
