Clastres, France 25th June 2023: The 21st European dragster Continued today with the last qualification round (round number seven) and the elimination ladder for all the competitors. It was a hot sunny day. Most drivers in the staging lane did whatever they could to stay cool & hydrated. The absolute winners are Fabien Dubois, Laurent Levi, Nicolas Chevasus, Gerd Habermann, Marianne Wisotzke, and Jonah Dormoi.

Fabian Dubios won The 21st European dragster in Super Pro ET. No changes in the numbers one, two, and three during the last qualification round. Stephane Jacquot kept his number one spot and had a bye run in the first elimination round. He met Fabian in the semi-finals. It was a side-by-side race but was no match for Fabian’s straight-arrow run. The final race went between Fabian Dubios and Amandine Arnaud in her Chevrolet Corvette. Fabien is currently number 15 in the point standings but will climb up the ladder with this win!

Laurent Levi is absoloture winner in Pro ET. Laurent was the one to beat in this class and met Sophie Zaninetti (qualification leader) in the second round. Sophie was no match for Laurent. The final race went between Laurent in his Ford Mercury and Magnus Sommer from Germany in his Dodge Dart. Laurent is in the twenty-second place in the point standings and will climb to the top with this win.

In Supercomp is Gerd Habermann, who takes in the win at Clastres Raceway for the second time! With only four competitors, Gerd had a bye run in the first round (As Ands Putzmann had some technical problems and couldn’t race anymore) and went straight final race. The finals went between Gerd and Clément Dubois Gerd Habermann secures his number-one position in the points standings with this win.

Double Win for the Gerd Habermann Racing team as Marianne Wisotzke takes the in Super Gas. Qualification leader Oscar Scappocin had a bye run during the first elimination round (With only five competitors, the leader would automatically have a bye run) and met Marianne in the second round. What started as a steady weekend for Scappocin ended at the tree against Marianne as Oscar goes into the red. Final race went between Marianne and Daniel Vetteri

Jonah Dormoy is the absolute winner in Junior Dragster. Qualification leader Harry Redshaw got eliminated in the second round by Thore Wolf. Thore lost to Damion Redshaw in the semi-finals. Jonah was the one to beat on the other side of the ladder. The final race went between Jonah and Damion.

Other highlights of the day were some thrill runs by the Mach-2 jet car driven by Sébastien Lajoux and the testing of Top Methanol Dragster, driven by German driver Marc Schon.
