30th August, Circuit Zandvoort, The Netherlands: An Event with no further introduction needed, where there is no substitute for cubic inches (to copy a slogan from 1957 issue of a famous magazine). Dedicated to all American Muscle car owners and fans, who didn’t mind a typical Rainy ‘Dutch’ Sunday to enjoy all what this event had to offer and see one special American muscle which isn’t officially available yet here in The Netherlands. An eye catcher during this American Sunday was this beautiful Ceramic Matrix Grey C8 Corvette from “AutoBedrijf Andre Boer”. Autobedrijf Andre Boer, has been around since 1992. Over the year they have grown in size and shape and not only it’s a car sales & service station but in 2012, they open their own private corvette collection. From 1954 Corvette until the latest generation. Off course, the C8 with serial #575 is their new pearl. This beauty’s journey started in Pennsylvania and is the first and only C8 in the Netherlands at this moment in time.

Note only the C8 Corvette, Andre Boer brought also an C7 ZR-1 Corvette convertible with ZTK package (Big wing). The ZR-1 is undoubtedly the fastest Corvette of all time and Chevrolet made only 512 examples, which only 197 came in this Orange Sebring color.

Another eye catcher is this Ford Mustang Fastback, which doesn’t need much introduction. ‘1967 Ford Mustang named Eleanor from the famous movie Gone in Sixty seconds. For sure a beautiful car to see.

American Sunday as usual had a lot more to offer that just a full paddock. The Show & shine has become a tradition where signed up cars can compete for the first place in tree class; Best of Show Modern, Best of Show Classic & Best of Show Custom. Absolute winner in Modern went to Yves Nulbay from Belguim with his wide bodykit Ford Mustang. Second and third place went to Niels with his GMC Sierra and Jordon with his Chrysler Le Baron. In Costum its Bram with his 1969 Chevrolet Nova, Erik Kuit in his 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS takes the second place.

And for the ones looking for more adreline, the team from DHRA had the Quartermile systeam ready for some drag races. Several car/bike owners signed up to get a chance to beat the ‘tree’ and take the win. Jason Schuman, takes the win in his 1965 Chevrolet Impala, Leaving Kristof Kudrinski in second place in his ZL-1 Chevrolet Camaro. 3rd place went for Vincent Pusch in his Ford Mustang.

Another place of interest during the American Sunday as the grand stand where the car display was held. This is becoming a tradition with each event that 402 organizes and it delivers a phenomenal view. Spectator had the opportunity to see all most of the best cars on the track.

This Supercar Sunday brough the audience the C8 Corvette, Drag Races, Show & Shine and many more. A rainy day, but that didn’t kept the petrol heads away. Next stop Bimmerworld on 13th September!
