Circuit Zolder, Belgium 9th July 2023: All teams headed to Belgium for the 3rd V-Max Racing Management (VRM) championship round (4th for the supercar challenge category) during the Supercar Madness weekend at Circuit Zolder. All teams had two free practice sessions, one qualifying session, and two races(One race on Saturday and one on Sunday). A weekend full of exited races and some rain. A double win for the Bas Koeten racing team (with Dante Rappandge & Dirk Warmerdam behind the wheel ) in the BMW M2 Cup, a double win for Thomas de Backer in the Ford Fiesta Cup. In the supercar challenge, it is Thomas Piessens on Saturday and Duo Jansen/Poland on Sunday.

Duo Mex Jansen & Jordin Poland won both races (Saturday + Sunday) in the Supercar Challange GT division. The duo qualified in second place (with a time of 1:28.67) just behind the pair Max Tubben/Max Weering, who took the pole position with a time of 1:28. After battling with championship leader Tubben/Weering, they managed to win both races and took over the championship from Tubben/Weering.

Pair Dante Rappange/Dirk Wamerdam wins both races in the BMW M2 Cup. The pair From the Bas Koeten racing team took the pole position with a time of 1:38.953, which was just 0.383 seconds quicker than the championship leader Mark van der Aa (together with Leyton Fourie/Senna van Soelen), also from the Bas Koeten racing. Rappange/Warmerdam maintained their leading position during the first race on Saturday but needed to work their way back to the number one spot during the second race (after being pushed back to third place). With these wins at Zolder, they are now closing the gap in the championship.

Jordy van der Eijk won the first race, and Lorenzo van Riet the second race in the Mazda MX-5 Cup. Laszlo van Houwelingen qualified in the Pole position but began the race from tenth place due to some changes in the grid (due to penalties). 2022 champion Marcel Dekker starts from the pole position and led the race until he lost to Yordy van der Eijk. Laszlo eventually began the second race from the pole position but couldn’t maintain this and lost this due to some technical problems.

Dual Win for Tomas de Backer in the Ford Fiesta Cup. Thomas Qualified 0.541 seconds behind Alan Czyz (1:56.768 for Tomas vs. 1:56.227 for Alan), who started from the pole position. Tomas & Alan battle each other during both races but wasn’t quick enough to win the race.
