Sunday 30th of May 2021
Curacao International Raceway

The first event at the track after the lockdown went down this last Sunday at Curacao International Raceway. Needless it was good to be back at the track!

Evendough the track was not prepped, some fast cars turned up to race the strip.
Pierre showed up in his Camaro ZL1 1LE and the Muzo brothers showed up in Vianny’s 2JZ powered Toyota Corolla. They made huge burnouts and had trouble keeping traction going down the 1320, but held their own with low ET times…while “patinando” from start to almost 1000 feet.

DSC_0510VAG was also very good represented, with many VW and Audi’s taking to the track and running multiple passes back to back to back to back.

The “WAI MORTO” was one of the fastest ones, until the twins from Bonam showed up with their Golf GTI.

But the fastest VAG on this day was the Audi RS3. It ran 10 second passes all day long.
It is awesome to see so many euro cars doing drag racing and even more great seeing them doing upgrades to be faster every time. How modern times changes the game.

Now the RWD and FWD cars have to really bring it, because with QUATTRO AWD and DCT transmissions, these hot rods are not to be underestimated or messed with.

Having said that, the imports did not disappoint.

Shout out to Timmy to bring out his RWD. Rear engined, Civic wagon!

The FWD were also represented during this event.

The fastest on this date was Jamel with his Turbo RSX. He came out to test on Low boost due to the traction conditions, but still managed to pull some FAST ET’s in during the event.

Many many street cars turned up. All types and all models and name brands.

But the AWARD for most committed drivers / cars goes out to the Starlet turbo of Clefford and Rouvien’s Nissan Sentra! They made more than 100 passes total on this date. The for sure enjoyed the event to the MAX!
